About the Group

The Heritage Group was started in 2012 with the aim of making Howick’s stories more widely known, by publishing books, mounting exhibitions, running events and giving talks. Through art, modelling, embroidery, music, magazine articles, flower arranging, card making and drama we have engaged the local population in celebrating the heritage of Howick and the surrounding district.

What We Do

A committee of 10 people meet formally three times a year at Garden Cottage, Howick, and throughout the year we are constantly in touch, organising our activities and promoting sales. Profits from our books and cards are spent in promoting our enterprises and improving the places where our work is displayed,

notably Howick Church.
